Zia Shlaimoun is a visionary entrepreneur with a strong background in microprocessor design, energy efficiency, and technological innovation. Formerly the CEO of Atto Electric, Ltd., based in Enfield, United Kingdom, he relocated to the United States in 2010 to focus on microprocessor research and development.
At Atto Electric, he pioneered power-saving technology that was sold and used worldwide, significantly reducing carbon emissions by thousands of tons before licensing his patented technology to a major manufacturing client.
Prior to that, Zia served as Technical Director and Co-Owner of Jilutech Systems, as well as Product Management at Data Dynamics. His expertise also extended to IBM’s European Research Center in Hursley, Winchester, UK, where he contributed to the development of cutting-edge technologies and products.
For his innovations and contributions to the industry, Zia Shlaimoun has received numerous accolades, including winning the European BIC Innovator of the Year, winning the Barclays Bank Commercial Innovation Award and being elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA), in recognition of his global efforts to reduce carbon emissions.
Outside of his professional pursuits, Zia enjoys cycling, kickboxing, and supporting his son’s passion for motorsports, watching him race karts and race cars.
